Admission is strictly on merit basis. Pupils are directly admitted to Lower Nursery whereas for the other classes, an admission test is conducted on a stipulated date against vacancy.

Names of the children seeking admission are registered on filling in the application form. Application form and school prospectus may be obtained from the school office. Registration carries no guarantee of admission.

Selected candidates must submit filled admission form and other necessary papers including admission fees before he / she is enrolled.

For students coming from other schools, transfer certificates are necessary. In case of migration from other states the transfer certificate has to be duly countersigned by the education authority of the state concerned.

No change in the date of birth will be permitted later.

Age Group

The table below shows the minimum age of the child’s admission to different classes as on the 1st January of the year in which admission is sought.

School Hours

Academic Session: January to December

Nursery to Class IV : 7.30 am – 12 pm (Mon-Fri)
Class V to Class XII : 11.30 am – 4.30 pm(Mon-Fri)
11 am – 2 pm (Sat)

Fees

  • All fees payable to St. Joseph’s Bright School are to be deposited at the lDBI Bank, Amtala Branch.
  • All the school fees must be paid by the 12th of every month. The fees cover 12 calender months & may be paid in monthly installment.
  • Fees will be accepted during office hours on school days.
  • Students who fail to pay the tuition fees on time will not be allowed to appear for the examination.
  • Fines will be imposed at the rate of Rs. 50/- for each month from the 13th of each month.
  • The name of the students, who fail to pay the tuition fees for the three consecutive months will be struck off the rolls without notice. A fresh admission fee will be charged to re-admit the students.
  • The school reserves the right to increase the fees at any time, if considered necessary, after obtaining permission from the appropriate authorities.
  • Fee-Tariff is given in another sheet.
 

Examination

  • Two examinations are held in an academic year, along with unit tests.
  • The students failing twice in the same class will not be allowed to continue in the school.
  • The students must secure at least 40% marks in all the subjects to be promoted to the next class. The promotion criteria is specified in school diary.
  • No student will be allowed to appear in the Annual Examination should they fail to attain 75% attendance of the total working days.
